1 - What is the latest FSREPAINT version?
A: Version 2.26
2 - What is new in FSREPAINT 2.26?
A: new DirecX version, 4K support, several bug fixes, new aircraft support, and enhancements. You can check the full list of changes by clicking here: 2.26 - What's new.
3 - I have placed an order but received no download email. What should I do?
A: The download email is automatically sent to the email you've provided to Paypal. Look inside the SPAM and trash folders. If you do not receive the download email in about one hour, please contact us.
4 - I have an older FSREPAINT version purchased from Abacus, FSPilot shop, Simmarket or others. Can I update it to the latest release?
A: Perhaps. Understand that we have no access to the Abacus user database. So, to be eligible, you must provide us the purchasing order email containing a valid registration number and your personal info. Any provided information will be verified. Failing to do so will make you not eligible for an upgrade from us. In this case, you should contact Abacus or their reseller directly.
5 - I see a message telling there is a new FSREPAINT update available. How to download it?
A: Just accept the download and follow the installation instructions. Do not uninstall the old version because you'll still need the user.dat file (your registration key).
6 - Does FSREPAINT work with the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020?
A: NO, due to differences in the FS2020 core and ecosystem, a new program is under development.
7 - Does FSREPAINT work with Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D?
A: YES, the current version - v2.26 - will work with Prepar3D.
8 - Does FSREPAINT work with the new Microsoft Flight Simulator X - Steam Edition?
A: YES, the current version - v2.26 - will work with FSX Steam Edition.
9 - Does FSREPAINT work with Microsoft Flight Simulator X?
A: YES, from version 2, it will work with FSX and with the earliest versions as well (2004, 2002 e 2000).
10 - I receive the following error message when using FSREPAINT: "unrecoverable error. Please send this information to...". What should I do?
A: Contact us through the contact page to receive the latest FSREPAINT version. Some personal and purchasing information will be requested to validate your request.
11 - I lost the original color palette configuration. How to get it back?
A: From version 2.24 there is a menu option inside the built-in editor to restore the original color palette. If you're using an older release, you just need to delete the file "editor.prf" and restart the program.
12 - I formatted my hard disk and lost the program installation or the registration file. How to get it back?
A: First, if you are using an older version from Abacus, please see question # 4. Otherwise, contact us through the contact page to receive the latest FSREPAINT version. Some personal and purchasing information will be requested to validate your request. TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM, ALWAYS BACKUP THE INSTALLATION AND THE REGISTRATION FILES.
13 - FSREPAINT is not showing one or more aircraft available at my FSIM installation. What should I do?
A: Please, send us the file fsrepaint.dbg (located in the FSREPAINT's installation folder. Could not find it? please, check question 15 below).
14 - When trying to open some specific aircraft model, the program says "FS Repaint was unable to load this aircraft". What should I do?
A: Please, send us the file fsrepaint.dbg (located in the FSREPAINT's installation folder. Could not find it? please, check question 15 below). In some circumstances, we will request you to send the aircraft as well.
15 - I can't find the file fsrepaint.dbg to send it to you. How to proceed?
A: Open the Windows Control Panel. Chose "Folder Options". Click the View tab, and then you should select "Show hidden files and folders" in the list. Close the FSREPAINT installation window and open it again. Sometimes the file is located at the Windows Virtual Store. To have access to the file, please press Windows Key + R and type %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore. Locate and click on the folder you've installed FSREPAINT.
16 - I'm still having other problems not listed above. What should I do?
